The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.

Dear Mark, It is an amazing journey we have gone through together in that last nine months. Now Abbey’s dream has come true. Abbey, Tiffany and myself are forever grateful for what you have wholeheartedly dedicated along the way.
To be honest, I was skeptical about what a educational consultant could bring onto the table in the beginning when we first met, as I was completely confident with Abbey’s qualification - she is a brilliant kid. 9 months after, I am fully convinced, Abbey could hardly achieve what she has achieved without your counseling.
During the first school visit in last October, You educated us that what matters most is best fit instead of ranking, which becomes our guiding principle in making all decisions along the journey. The further we have gone through the process the more we appreciated how true it is. They are all greatest schools, but they are great in different ways, just like a person, each has different temperaments. With such a mindset we began to better understand the details of each school, which eventually allowed us to have made all the right choice.
Your biweekly video chat with Abbey has served as foundation of the whole journey, which has made a huge impact in growing Abbey’s maturity. It created a sense of project ownership for Abbey of the whole journey, and a sense of herself, instead of Tiffany and I, driving the process. Meanwhile during the conversation she kept learning how to effectively communicate with others. It is also a goals setting and milestones checking process that allows her to stay on top of the schedule. In addition, she also was sharing her joy and frustration with you, and getting encouragement and counseling from you. In fact you have become a friend of hers.
Reminding us of all the pitfalls has been tremendously helpful. It has been a long and daunting journey, especially considering Abbey has to maintain her school life and perform well at the same time. There are so many places we could have gone wrong in maintaining the balance, or we could have focused on the wrong things, without your guidance.
Last but not the least, crisis could happen, and it did happen in our case, you intervened timely and forcefully to turn things around. There are very few consultants who can do that because it is all based on experience in this business, where you have spent your 13 years at pro bono basis - What an amazing achievement!
Sincerely yours,
Tiffany and Ben
